After I've heard some nice ideas from other members, I decided to re-design my Tank, It's never finished, but it looks much better as before.

I added a hill, plant, and more space for digging( under the fresh spaghnum ) I think it looks more natural.

Feel free to place some comments .

I'm glad to see your success in keeping a nice tank for your tigers. Frankly, I'm suprised that they haven't dug everything up and made a mess. I've resorted to very simple enclosures without live plants. While I'd always prefer an elaborate cage nicely planted cage, I just can't seem to with these guys.

Very nice, Christian. I love the facial expressions that tigers have. Thanks for posting!

Just one little thing to help you next time... when you post photos, it is helpful to put 2 empty spaces between each photo. This way they display vertically, not horizontally. I fixed these for you.

@ Drew davis:

My Tigers will damage my setup after a while, but I always let them dig some tunnels, and than I put moss by the entrance so they will always use those tunnels.

Maybe you could try to make a corner in your tank covered with much spaghnum, it's easy for the tigers to dig trough the spaghnum and than enter the soil that's under the spaghnum. The spaghnum will take most of the dirt from your tigers when they come out of their tunnel, so they do not make a dirt track of the other parts in the tank, and it helps to keep your water bowl much cleaner.
I hope it will help you too.

This is how it is for now.

I have a question for you all! My tiger is a dedicated diger, and he is always covered with substrate and after a good dig day, he like to swin on the fountain!

And he make a real big mess! How can I make my tiger look more clear?? I would like that they stay as Christian's tigers!!!! My setup have two lakes (one with a waterfall, that make it really hard to clean!) and has a substrate that is similar to the coconut fiber, but is made of a kind of brazilian fern... its much more humid than the coconut fiber!

I don't know how your setup is, you could cover all of the coco fibre with moss, spaghnum( like in my special corner) and maybe lawn, I've added some seeds from lawn in my tank on some spots, just to try out.

Feel free to post a photo of your tank

Almost forgot to say this, my tigers love fresh cold water, If the water is full of dirt i refill it with fresh water, and they will keep them selves clean again.

I cant post my picutures here!!!! My tiger is A. tigrinum utahensis! He is much less colorfull than yours... I think I will try to cover all the terrarium with some kind of moss as you told me... It already have four different kind of plants growing in the soil... but the substrate itself is "nude"! When I finish the changes I will post a picture here!! Thanks!

One has to be careful about using non-live sphagnum moss. Some kinds are acidic, which is not good for sals.

Yes, they will only eat living food, but the mouse is still alive right now, I took him out because the frogs were not interested yet... And my sister is taking care of the mice now...

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
