I think this is an impolite animal, he hasn't even washed himself beofre they took his portrait ...
Looks like the typical export Tiger salamander, which we call mavortium overhere (other forms are somewhat more difficult to obtain.SEems like a healthy guy
 
Well, who would need any other forms when this one so perfectly fits the bill

I've no idea where it came from but it's truly a fine animal. We've had it less than a year, and my wife is in charge of its feeding (crickets and wax worms).

It was relatively active in the warmer months, lunging for food or even in the hope of food. But it has been under soil all the winter -- occasionally poking its head out while waiting to ambush prey.

I've stopped rinsing it prior to taking photos, preferring instead the au naturel look
