Ambystoma tigrinum melanostictum has 2 lumps on left side of stomach. Haven't noticed until today. Doesn't seem to be bothering her, but I just got her last month and it looks to me like broken or fractured ribs, maybe from being squeezed too tight by the people I got her from. I think it could also be the large-ish crickets I just fed her as well. I've already checked the Illness page with nothing that really looks similar. Is this something to worry about or am I just paying too close attention?

I like your set up...what is that plastic thing for the water? Just wondering. When mine is ready for his change to terrestial home, I got something similar. Its like a plastic planter bottom. Thought it looked good
Sorry about the lumps...but looks like she just ate to much, or is having trouble digesting them.

Thanks! Its a flimsy plastic salad container from my lunch the other day. :p

I always keep an eye out for plastic containers I could use for water dishes and other things that would other wise be thrown away.

I think you might be right though, the crickets were pretty big and she did eat a lot.

wow, she is a real beaute, i know when my guy chows down he gets big and lumpy, but nothing like that, that looks really weird to me, i would keep checking on her to make sure that the lumps go away.

did anyone else think that the lumps looked kind of like mock-breasts? like they use in comedy sketches when its a dude trying to look like a lady and his "lovely-lady-lumps" keep drooping and moving around on his body.
