Tiger salamander is sick since cleaning aquarium

I recently cleaned the aquarium andthe next day my 2 year old tiger salamander started acting strange-jerking around in the water, chasing his tail, swimming upside down. He's not eating well but wasn't for the week prior to the cleaning either. He is staying on a rock and will not go into the water. I have just found out it is not good to clean the tank well but it's too late. If this is what's making him sick, what can I do to help him. I am desperate. Should I now just place him in a terrarium type environment since there may be something wrong with the water due to ridding it of too much bacteria? Please help!

A morphed tiger salamander should never be kept in an aquatic setup to begin with. Put him in a plastic container with moist soil immediately. He does not need standing water of any kind. It may be too late for him, but being in a proper setup, he might just pull out of it.
