Try following these care sheets, do you know what type of tiger it is? Look at the pictures on the sheets and decide. Hope this helps :D

I couldn't figure out what types it was so hear

Well, I'm not the best at identifying Tigers but to me he looks like Ambystoma tigrinum/ Eastern tiger salamander, but more experienced members may be able to give a more accurate ID

I would guess A. tigrinum as well, but it would be nearly impossible to know for sure without knowing where it came from

I would guess tigrinum as well, but I don't know if it's possible to say for sure. At least he looks healthy considering his ordeal. It would be best to try and avoid putting him on dry, scratchy surfaces like carpet or fabric if you can, their skin is very sensitive and could get irritated by any cleaning products etc that may have used in the past. He would be safer if you popped him in a shallow plastic tub or something like that next time. :)

And also its been eating 5 crickets a day

Just make sure the soil doesn't have any pesticides or fertilizer on it. And I would switch over to earthworm/nightcrawler, mine can usually take them whole without being cut into pieces, and I just buy them at walmart.

Are they live? Is it with the fishing section as bait? Never knew they still sold live products!

Yes, I've bought them live in the fishing section. You may need to cut the worm in half if the salamander can't get the whole thing down in one bite.
