I have 3 tiger salamanders in a 30 gallon long plastic tube and one just won't eat a darn thing its a inch smaller than the others. I tried separating but still it won't eat. If anyone has any ideas or advice i would love to hear it. Thanks Tyler

Have you tried other foods? Try a fat juicy waxworm if you can!

I would try crickets. If the sal accepts them and still won't eat worms, these could become a staple in his diet. In that case, they would need to be dusted with a calcium/vitamin powder every few feedings.

thanks i will try some crickets thats what it was feed at the pet store

If you run a search on the forum, you will see that yours is not the first tiger sal that is reluctant to eat worms. I had one for more than 10 years that would not touch a worm of any kind - he only wanted invertebrates with legs (crickets mostly) as food items. Most tigers love earthworms/nightcrawlers... even red wrigglers.

My tiger won't eat worms either. In fact, she will only eat crickets. I dust the crickets with vitamins. If I try & tempt her with anything else she literally turns up her nose & walks away.
