He is in the last stages of metamorphosis but I don't know when it is ok to take him out of the water. His gills are just little nubs now and his tail looks close to normal. I switched him into a new tank with half water half damp paper towels(until I can the proper soil/dirt/fiber whatever) this morning I'm watching him now and he has had his nose out of the water for about 20 minutes. I have a ghetto setup for him now and I don't think he will be able to get out in his own. I will post pictures when I can but he is in a tupperwear container and the edges are just a bit too high for him to climb out. Suggestions on that? And he will not eat I have tried everything to get him to eat and nothing! Is it because of him metamorphing?
I'm clueless...

My tigers quit eating for a few weeks during their transition from water to land.

I left them in their water tank, but lowered it to only like 3 or 4 inches so all of the rocks and logs were sticking well out of the water. Eventually they started spending most of their time above water, their gills had completely disappeared. If your tiger still has gills, even tiny ones, leave it in the water.

When mine did finally absorb their gills completely and started spending most of their time above water this is when I moved them to a 75/25 land/water tank.

Thanks Cam. That helped ease my nerves haha. I just don't want him to starve! He's a skinny little thing. Thanks again!
