Behold the three-headed aberrant newt!!!
hehe...i just thought they looked cute.
Right after this pics were taken i fed them all.....and man....are they rabid eaters!!! I had to separate three that were fighting for the same worm and another one was running because it´s brother was trying to eat his tail. Worms make them rabid.
How do i love my little psychos...n_n

This one looked like being caught in the act.

I recently acquired three, and though they are tiny, they'll grab a chunk of worm and thrash their heads about so that their whole body will wiggle. It is a joy to see such an appetite!

Indeed. I was worried at first since specially one of them ate pretty bad. While the other ate every day or so, this one only ate once every three days and very little. But still it grew as the others. But now they all eat like there´s no tomorrow. It´s so rewarding to see them so healthy fat and active.

looking good Rodrigo, looks like lots more brothers and sisters on the way again this year ,although i don't think i'll go as mad as last year.

Hehe thanx.
Best of lucks Ian, you should post a hundred pics of all your animals, i´d love to see my marms parents hehe.
I recently changed them from moist paper towels to just a layer of moss. They seem to love it. Your advice worked great Ian, when they were smaller it would have been a disaster to keep them with moss, or in a complicated tank. Feeding and finding them would have been a living hell. But now they are big enough and aggressive eaters so i´ll start a nice natural set-up for them

Not only are they little monsters, but they're very demanding!

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
