I'm currently trying to find a suitable tank for an Axolotl. I know the general rule is 10 gallons per Axolotl and this one is 23: Aquael Leddy Aquarium 80cm on Sale | Free UK Delivery | PetPlanet.co.uk
I know it comes with a light and heater and obviously I wouldn't use those, but how do you feel about this tank? Is it suitable for an adult?

Please let me know your thoughts! :D

Usually the recommendation for one axolotl is 20 gallons, so that meets the size requirements. BUT, since you wouldn't use the heater or light, and if you're counting on evaporative cooling (rather than buying an expensive chiller), you wouldn't want a closed cover, either, I suggest buying a separate tank and filter, rather than a kit, to save a lot of money.

The filter is an internal motor driven sponge filter. The filter will add a tiny bit of heat to the tank. I would sooner have an air pump driven sponge filter or a hang on the back cascade filter.

It seems like you don't get much of a discount for buying the package deal. Many of the items in the package you will not use.
