I've owned my Axie for 2 days now. Bought it off a young boy who didn't really want to care for it anymore. Bought the tank, filter, Axie, cleaners etc. full setup for NZ$70. Added sand, plastic plants, background and really realistic tunnel log

Apparently it's a male and is a little over a year old

Wow, they are beautiful pics, your tank looks really lovely and natural, I bet he's thanking his lucky stars he found you. Did you cycle the tank?? I love the sand and log, its given me ideas.

Hehe because when I didn't know how to pronouce Axolotl I said Afrodoffle to someone that worked at a pet store... And it stuck since

Oh btw, I'm rescuing 2 more boys from a workplace that broke their fishtank and have neglected their Axies.

They are all about the same age, and the two that I'm picking up have been together their whole life.

Do you think they will all get along well?
Any tips on getting them all to settle down together?
Will the tank size be alright for all 3 of them?

Have no idea what they look like yet but will have pics up as soon as I get them in approx 5 hours.

They are all getting along very very well!

Haven't decided what the other two names are going to be yet though...

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
