So recently I one of my newts had eggs. Well the first batch got fuzzy on me and got tossed.
So I set something up in the mean time to help keep the eggs in a even more sterile environment (as if its not to begin with already) just in case I had some more.
Well this morning I look in and I cought the culprit. It is actually one of my Pyrrhogaster
!!
The first batch the other day was around 6 or 7 eggs today there is tons of them everywhere and she was still going.
Its very odd cause she didnt look gravid at all. Now to spice things up even more I noticed one of my female dragons has been scratching and digging around lately. I figured well there has been alot going on,... we have got a new carpet installed and we have been getting some painting done. I actually had to reduce space temporarily and add her into the males tank so I can clear the floor off as much as I can by puting her tank in storage for a few days. I forgot all about that and thought maybe the kids have just been getting on her nerves with everything thats goin on. Well she let out 6 yesterday and another 6 this morning.
Luckily I still have a incubator that took about 5 minutes to setup for those.
Wish me luck guys,.... I tossed in the towel with breeding and now its all comin around for me:kill:
Now a question as always.
How long can my Pyrrhogaster keep up with laying eggs? I read they can lay alot of eggs but over how long of a period?
