My Axolotl, Mash, is probably between 8 and 9 inches long now and I currently have her in an aquarium that is 30x12x12 and I am wondering if this is suitable for an Axolotl of her size, not to mention that she is still growing.
Any suggestions on an ideal aquarium for an Axolotl that may get up to 10 or 11 inches?
Any preferred brands at a reasonable price?

although they say 20 gallon is the minimum size there is no limit on the size tank you can go up to, I would say 3ft x 1 1/2 ft x 1 1/2 ft would be ideal to allow full movement around the tank. at the end of the day if you can and want to, get as big a tank as you want and feel would make both you and your axolotl happy.

Thank you.
Any advice on cheap yet sturdy brands?

couldn't say as I'm in the uk. but try looking on this forum in the vivarium and enclosures section for info on brands and recommendations.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
