I am currently raising young axies and the parents have been separated for about six weeks. Under pressure from my wife who insisted they missed each other I removed the partition in the tank. We thought it was quite cute that they went to each other and sort of cuddled. Well they sure did cuddle. The next morning I saw the male had made his "deposits" around the tank. I removed these and put the partition back but alas we have more eggs. They really didnt waste any time. How long should we separate them and can you tell visually when they are ready to be reunited. I do not want to raise this batch of eggs so if any of the NZ members want eggs let me know.

You can leave the eggs in the tank and the parents will dispose of them.

As far as uniting them... I don't know if you'll be able to without them having conjugal visits.
