I've had my axolotl Elouise (or Louis if she turns out to be a he :p) for a little over month now. Her previous owner fed her exclusively bloodworms, and at 8 months was really small.

She currently is in a filtered 7 gallon tank and will be upgraded as soon as she outgrows it. She is now fed earthworms with some bloodworms occasionally and just this week has gotten big enough to take a baby nightcrawler whole. Now that she is established, I have found her to be entertaining and a treat to own. I am very glad I decided to get an Axolotl instead of another betta. xD

Here are two photos, the first is when I first got her, and the second was taken today. It is absolutely crazy how much her gills have grown.

It really shows! She was so skinny in the first pic. Now she's nice and plump :)

Is she actually that yellow color, or is it the camera?

She's a GFP leucistic, so she always looks kind of greeny-yellowy. I didn't actually want the protein and wasn't aware she had the GFP when I went to pick her up (I was just told leucistic). It's still not my favorite (I don't like glofish much either), but she's just so darn cute that it's kind of grown on me.
