You know what, I love wild types axolotls, even though the leutistics have a +10 cute bonus to them. Such variety in wild type colouring. Anyway, I have 2 new axl-babies. We have Giacomo Panini the Italian axolotl and Jadwiga Kapusta, the Polish axolotl. I still have yet to title their names. Just first name and last name thus far. Now I can say they are my children, muahahaha(me=Italian+Polish)! I don't know why I like to give my axoltls ethnicities, I just do. My newt is English Nobleman(Sir Isaac Newtington the Patchysaurus Rex), and my other 2 axolotls are Filipino mythology(Black axolotl the Bakunawa and Pink axolotl the Diwata). I dunno, maybe I just like to make axolotls into "people" if so, I may need to check myself in somewhere. Enough chatter! here comes the pics!

Its Giacomo Panini eating sand! Don't eat the sand! or the java moss!

Here is Jadwiga Kapusta. Jadwiga has big fluffy gills and likes to hide...hide a lot. I will call Jadwiga Hidey McHiderson if it keeps it up.

Jadwiga made it snow.

Oh here is also my first attempt at making the Pabo. I hope it goes well.

Hi AnneMarie,
Lovely markings on your axies,
their frills are superb
and I like their unusual names.

What time is tea??
Looks great.
Cheers,
Chris.

:p thanks! Tea is usualy between noon and 2pm. I think my axolotls need tophats.

I was just inspecting Jadwiga a bit ago, and the colouring is amazing. Her chin and the top of one of her arms is white pigmentations. i still have yet to see what her tummy looks like. wondering if it is white too or spotted. The guy I got these from had some of the most gorgeous looking wild-types I have seen.

These are my first axies with feet that have all 5 back toes.

I wonder if any 2headed axies have ever hatched and how long they lived. same with 2 tailed monsters.

AnnMarie, I am so glad to see those guys are doing good at their new home. I make it a goal of mine to keep the number of axies with missing feet to a minimum by feeding them a lot and keeping only a couple in each tub. I am expecting more wild-type morphs out of these larvae I am raising. You picked two of the wild-type morphs that I have. In all have 4 distinct variations, but the only individuals that I do have of the other two varieties I am holding back for breeding in two years.

Also, expect the one with the tiger coloration to get a bit darker as it grows.

A two headed axie would be quite a site, I've never seen one, but three of mine have extra arms.

Can I ask what's in pabo? Looks great!

So do your axies! ( still having trouble finding wild-type axie's where im from )

Regards Eastern_axle

sorry pabo is turkey. In life in our house, we don't use pure english and because of that I forget english words for things sometimes and write them without thinking forgetting it is not an english word and people will be going "WTF is she talking about"

Amber cannot steal Jadwig! Amber can look at Jadwiga pictures. I am glad you approve because I find your guy incredible also.

Jacob, how much study have you put into axolotl genetics? What sort of variation are you specifically working to achieve? We (my partner and I) plan to get involved in development certain strains/variations and have been heavily involved in reading academic articles specifically relating in the field of genetics. We still have more research and other things to do before begining our project. Hoping to actually start in 1-2 years. You can pm me rather than post if you like.

<font color="119911">If Amber can't steal Jadwiga, can I borrow Giacomo indefinitely?
That last picture... is that Jadwiga king of the rock cave or Giacomo king of the rock cave? I thought it was Giacomo? If it is, then it is Giacomo that I would love to borrow indefinitely... you know, say eternity

Jadwiga. jadwiga is king of a rock pile this time. Giacomo only has 1 pic, first one. He has more dark colour and less stripes.

We might have to start axolotl visiting programs :p
Or make lots of baby lottl clones of our coolest axolotls and swap, cus I know you guys have cute ones!
Or I can take more picture and you can print it out and place the print out and place it in a glass tank, Instant pet axolotl and easyier care!

*laughs* That's a pretty cool idea - I wonder if anyone would notice...

Jacob, I probably will not be breeding for about a year, Ihave to wait for all my axolotls that are youg to get at least over a year, plus me and the axolotl farm live in a Chicago apartment. I am currently gathering information and making charts about the axolotls i have, plus so far, I do not have any females unless one of these new ones grows up to be a girl. Thanks for the information, and since your local I will let you know when I start. Plus, you have some nice axolotls from what I have seen, healthy and whatnot.

After Jadwiga eats all that turkey in the picture, I hope she turns into a girl that will fall inlove with my leutisitc. I am charting out the possiblities with a cross like that. it maybe one step into my great axolotl pattern creator realm.

Jadwiga from Poland is beautiful.I'm from Poland too And I'm not beautiful like Jadwiga
