Little freckles(she is on her own at the mo as 1 she is too small (i think deaky will eat her ) and 2 I think my tank is too small but I won a load of money on the grand national so I might by a HUGE tank)

Bob looks interesting - what is he? A clam? Or similar? Doe she do the business in the tank cleaning dept?

Your axies are so cute - not seen any wild types for sale in UK... want one!!

Bob is a freshwater clam of some sorts (dont know wha type) people use them as filters in out door ponds - he does help but he can only do so much (so I got another)they are not a fix all and will not help with the nitrates in the tank but do eat axie poo and leftovers. If you have a well planted aquarium this shouldnt be a problem, and you have to have sand cos they like to dig

ps there is a shop in rhyl north wales that ALWAYS has axies and they are 95% wildtypes he buys them from a local breeder (who sometimes sells eggs/ axies on ebay)they DO have missing bits as he keepsthem all together but he feeds them right and knows enought not to give them gravel/ keep them with fish

.More pics including set up . . . . . some are actually in focus!!!

spray bar to stop wind swept axies

Whole look (looks cramped/messy at the mo as it is separated to stop freckles being eaten note the blue bar)

Hey that is a pretty nice setup you have there. I also love how everything in the Fluval cabinet is so nice and tidy.
Bob is pretty cool. I always debated about getting a Bob. Maybe for one of my inverts tanks.
Nadia probably is a fem from what I can tell from the picture. It is usually easier for me to tell from a side view. Anyways, your wild-types are lovely. Good spotting, nice tails, especially Nadia.

I think the clams are a very interesting addition to every tank if you think it can cope with the extra waste is interesting to watch them dig (their feet look like white jelly) and when they open and close to get water flowing for food - thanks for the comments on the set up i think i keep it too clean sometimes. I have concluded nadia is a girl her toes are light now shes rounded/thick faced and has no swelling at all where swelling should be ..... I am sure deaky is a girl (rounded face) and freckles is a boy as he is much pointier than the other two have ever been but they are too young to tell for sure. Am thinking of getting some glass shrimp but wander if there will be too much 'live mass' in the tank then might keep them in a little tank in the cabinet and release them as needed.

you can see nadia's spots (goldy bits) well in this pick really pretty on her not so much me!!! she even has goldy bits on her gills
