You should all know me by now, axolotl addict and yes the pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons but....one of my tanks has started leaking...and I've been running around like a blue a*sed fly trying to find my sealant and patching it up for the passed hour! I can't really complain as the tank was free but still....MY BABIES!!!! One of the cons of keeping axolotls: serious anxiety if something does go wrong. Wish me luck fixing this mishap folks...

Thankyou! If worse comes to worse I'll have to swap it with my salamander tank as it's terrestrial so it won't leak everywhere. Gahhhh :lame:

You can also move them to a large plastic tub until you can get it re-sealed, or into plastic "shoeboxes" <doing a daily water change with aged water>. I use the shoeboxes as my hospital when one of mine gets injured or whenever I have to relocate or repair a tank.

Eeeek! Hope the repairs work! :)

It has thankfully! I'm going to put my sals in it though as my paranoia is now through the roof! I don't trust putting all that water in it again. It was being used as a newt tank so was quite shallow before I moved it. Could have always had a leak but as it wasn't full to the brim I wouldn't have known :lame:
