I was looking for very white (so not normal colored) sand for my axie tanks. I couldn't find anything at the local aquarium store except for the caviar stuff I don't like.

Another pet store told me it's also fine to use very white sand for desert terrariums in aquariums. To me it does like normal sand and it doesn't look like.... shell or something.

I was wondering if this really is suitable for my axolotls. (It's also pretty pricy)

have you checked out play sand? It's pretty cheap, and while it's not pure white it is a very light color.

I still have the normal sand over here but the white sand would look awesome (and I can see debris easier I guess :D)

Anyone who knows if this white 'terra sand' is safe sand for axies?

Here's a picture of the sand I've seen:

I'd think that yes, as long as you clean it thoroughly, that sand would be fine.

Amazing :D
Thank you

Isn't that type of sand unsuitable for aquariums. I think a few people complained that it stirs up from just the axies walking over it.

Hmm, I think I'll test it first with a small amount (smallest bag or a bit of the same sand from a friend with reptiles or something) to see what happens before I buy a big bag and put it all in (after cleaning ofcourse)
