I'm just wondering how you keep the temperature in your tank stabile.
In my tank, the temperature seems to rise about 3c within 24 hours, so I change some of the water every day to cool it back down.
I've heard there is some sort of cooling systems for aquariums, but they are not recommended.

I would appreciate som good advice

I live in Queensland, Australia and the only way I could keep the temp under 22deg was to buy a chiller and I have it set on 19deg. When we have really hot days I float plastic bottles of water that have been frozen or run the house airconditioner. The chiller was A$300. Only purchased the chiller at the beginning of Feb, haven't had a electricity bill yet!!!The temp still gets up to 21.4deg. I am finding out as I go along. I have only had Moreton since Sept 07.

Well England is not known for it's hot weather, but in my flat it can get very warm, much warmer then what is comfortable for Darwin. I invested in a Reef fan not so long ago and it has brought down the temperature by around 4 degrees. Only thing is that in a small flat it makes it hard to sleep with it on and I turn it off during the night.

I am not totally sure as yet, but from it's performance so far I am confident that it maybe. I am not sure how hot it does get in terms of digits in the flat, I just know it feels hot. If the water is looking at around 24 degree C in the summer without the fan I feel I can manage to sustain a temperature of around 19C with it. But as I said the fan can bring the temperature down about 4 degrees.
