They're quite adorable!! Please tell me you don't actually keep them in there, though.... there's not enough room to have their entire bodies straight! o_O

Yeah they're very cute little ones :)
& I agree with the above comment...
that I hope that isn't their permanent home o_O

Having spent most of my life around pedigree dog breeders - the term 'teacup' sends shivers of utter terror - the whole teacup [insert any breed] is such an awful thing - it's basically the very worst type of animal you could purchase - breeding undersized runts to other undersized runts does not create cute... it creates a world of health problems & possible death for the momma dog during whelping due to being do undersized & trying to birth a normal size puppy :( dogs don't need to be made smaller & frailer or be carried around in handbags

*steps off the 'teacup' soapbox

I have to agree with Nikki. Miniature pinchers at one point had to be carried around the show ring on pillows...due to bad breeding, they were too frail to walk on their own. As a result, the breed nearly died out. Thankfully the consequences of this were realized in time to save the breed, but in the process these dogs had no quality of life... Sorry to steal your soap box Nikki but I too despise the word "teacup!" Hope this doesn't become a new trend even if they are cute!

No, I keep them in even smaller jars with corks on top and wear them around my neck.
LOL I'm just kidding. I was changing their water in their little containers and I didn't want to have to take them out of the water so I scooped them up with a little teacup. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. I couldn't fit them in again unless if I folded them in half XD
I'll be sure to tell my water babies about your kind comments. ( I actually have 8 axies)

....I love teacup puppies. I have a Min Pin and a Chihuahua. My min pin is actually just a regular min pin, nothing special about her aside from the fact that she is a fat princess who has turned me into her servant. My Chihuahua is not a teacup bred puppy but he could easily compete for size with them. I don't know if he is actually that size or if he was starved so that his growth would be stunted. He's an extremely picky eater so he probably had trouble growing up. I bought him in a dog market in Vietnam (he lives there and I'm hoping to bring him here one day) and my Min Pin is a rescue here in Canada. I love Teacup puppies but their lineage is so bad. Inbreeding and unhealthy runts make these freakishly adorable yet unstable pets. In all honesty, you end up falling in love with them regardless of size I just wish there was a way to get cute compact dogs that are actually healthy.

They've upgraded from teacup to regular cups now as I highly doubt they would fit in my little teacup anymore.

Mugacino lotl :)

He's looking very thin - what are you feeding & how much? I'd be doubling whatever your feeding to get some bulk on that little one :) live blackworms are great as they stay alive in the tank & can be munched on whenever they're wanted :)

Well a week or so before this picture they were eating one bloodworm cube split into 8. Now I mix in some mysis with the blood worm so they can double up what they were eating before. They were looking pretty fat for a week but now they are starting to thin down again so I'm going to increase to two cubes and a huge chunk of mysis and pellets. Unfortunately, I don't really feel comfortable feeding them live food.

It's hard to believe that these guys had ever fit in a teacup! They're the size of my foot!

This was my exact thought upon seeing the title too. It was basically "Oh god please don't be pitiful deformed dwarf axolotls being portrayed as trendy, healthy and desirable, please please please..."

I didn't even know dwarf axolotls were something that could happen actually haha.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
