Tank was cleaned with soap

I just got a nice 15 gallon tank from my parents, but Dad said he cleaned it out with soap.
If I give it a thorough scrub and clean will vinegar, will it be safe to use?

Rinse , rinse, rinse, risnse, rinse, rinse. Then rinse again.

It should be fine, as long as you rinse it REALLY well and ensure there is no soap residue left.

ide fill it and let it soak for a few days. then rinse some more

Rinsing with hot water will help. YOu can put it in the shower.
