Tank Swap

Hello Everyone,

Just writing to ask if this would be cruel?

I have two female axolotls in a 2.5ft and they are both nearing the 20-25cm mark now. I think they look a bit cramped in the tank. I have a male axolotl of 30cm in a 4ft tank. Would it be cruel to move the 30cm male into the 2.5ft tank, and then move the girls into the 4ft tank?

Any suggestions would be great, as I have no funds or room right now to buy a bigger tank

I think that's okay. I have a friend who has 2 adult axolotls in a 2.5ft tank. And they seem happy and breed so I don't think it's a problem.

They do seem happy enough, but it seems a waste I have a 4ft tank with just one axolotl in it, when two could go in there and have a bit more room?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll all be fine It's enough space for 2 axies in there (the smaller tank).
And the other (bigger tank) is big enough for the 30cm male.

Ahh but do you think the 30cm male would be okay in the 2.5 x 1ft tank if I did happen to move them? It's just all he does is sit at one end in the 4ft tank. Feel like the females would benefit more from it.
