HI,
I just recently got 2 axolotls, I think that they are approximetaly 3-4 inches. how big of a tank should they be in? And how soon will I need to upgrade to their final size tank? Right now I just have them in a 10 gallon aquarium.

The larger the tank the easier it will be to maintain the water quality which is the key to being successful with these animals. I'd think a minimum size would be 29 gallon tank that has a 36" x 12" base (120L with a 91.4 cm x 30.5cm) especially when you consider the size of adult axolotls will be between 10 and 12 inches (25 to 30 cm).
