I currently have 2 6inch axys in a 60litre 60x30x50(roughly) tank what size tank is sufficient and ideal when they are full grown?

A three foot(90cm) tank with the largest possible floor space would be sufficient for two. Do you know the sex of them? If they are male and female you would be better off buying a very large tank like 4 foot(120cm) and dividing it in half or have them in separate tanks.
By the sounds of it your axies are already big enough to be moved to a bigger tank.

You will need to cycle the new tank before you axies go in it. Alternativly if the tank you already have is cycled you can transfer the filters, substrate, and ornaments over to the new tank and then top it up with new water you will be half there.

ADDED INFORMATION: I just saw you are not to sure about what sex they are. To help with this here is a ROUGH guide. Females have a rounder head and are plumper. Males have a slimmer appearance and have a slight buldge just behind the back legs which is called a cloaca.

I hope this helps.

With them bein only 6inch big i think they are too young to sex. I think my 'girl' florence might be a boy! And she/he is nearly one and only just showing. Finley was about 8 or 9 inches and about 10 months old when he showed as male. Mel

they both have dark finger tips, and have slightly diferent bodies fro there faces i would say is a boy and a girl and they do have slightly different body shapes but they also have the sae sized swell behind there legs!

Although darkened toes is supposed to be a sign of sexually maturity finley had dark toes at 6 months and was not showing as male. All of a sudden at about ten months he had a massive bulge. I will see if i can find some pics to show you. I still have no idea what my wild or gold are and they are both one year old.
