Im considering getting an axie, and I have read the caresheets. and I was wondering IF you could (and if so how many) house an axolotl in a ten gallon tank? On the axolotl.org sites housing section they said it was approx. 11 us gallons.
Thanks.

If you only keep one axolotl, then I think a 24" tank could be fine~
Hope this help!

A 24" tank is the 15/20 gallon size. A 10-gallon tank is 20"x10". You could keep one axolotl in such a tank, but you would have to be very vigilant about water quality and possibly move up to a larger tank if it outgrew the tank.

one axolotl plus decos, cave and/or plants = if you put two in it will get very squashed. Consider the adult size they will get to 30cm + (my sister has 1yr old axies that are 30cm+ size) If you want to get two axies get a 3ft/90cm long tank - it will allow for room for plants, decos and caves.
