Tank Size & Water

How big of a tank would you need for 25 newt eggs? Some have suggested that a 10 gallon is good for raising larvae. Would that be okay? Or would you suggest something smaller? Because I read somewhere that the bottom of plastic milk jugs is much easier for water changes. If so, how many larvae should be kept in one? I've also read about the nitrogen cycle. Would water changes really be enough?

Either way will work, but the important thing is to keep all uneaten food removed, never allowing "decaying" conditions to set in. If you already have the eggs, it's too late to "cycle" a new tank. You will have to rely entirely on water changes and cleaning the tank bottom to remove waste products from the water. Don't use gravel.
