A while back i had gravel in my tank. It was big gravel so i wasn't too concerned about my axolotls eating the gravel but i didn't want to take my chances. Almost a month ago i went out and bought some sand. I was wondering what everybody thought of my set up. I originally had them in a 29 gallon tank but it was too big for me ( As far as hight goes) so i down sized to a twenty long. Lol Less hight but same length.

Nubby just came down from getting air so that's why she's in that "position." The divider is in there to prevent more babies (for now).

The look on her face is AWESOME! hehe Beautiful set up you have!

Haha thank you to both of those. Lol she's quite the character.

Hehe, cute pose!

I think you did right not risking it on the stones, and the sand looks lovely. I assume you just put the light on for the piccie, and it's not on all the time? Good work! Shame those naughtylotls can't be trusted without a divider!

I'm so curious about your spray bar though, is it just an illusion, am I going mad, or is it right at the bottom?

Lol That's not the spray bar. That's where the filter sucks up all the mess in the tank. The spray bar is up in the top, not pointing towards the axolotls.I have the filter take in placed down there because it's close to the bottom and it's too tall for the twenty long. Lol if it was standing up right i couldn't fit the lid on.
