Hello every one! i am planning to get an african dwarf frog. i heard they need at least one gallon of water each so if I have a 3.5 gallon tank could I comfortably hold a single frog in it? I dont want the frog to be in too small of a cage so if it is please let me know :)

One frog in 3.5 gallons is quite good, and I would say the actual rule for ADFs is one frog per three gallons... No more than that. :)

I have three of these guys in quite a big tank. They are nice and fat but often in poor condition when they are flown into the UK. Hope yours are in better condition. Interestingly the males get quite aggressive towards each other when courting, have not seen it to the same extent in any other frog.

thanks a lot guys! :) I was really hoping a 3.5 would be good because if it wasn't i really dont know what else i'd do with it haha

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
