Tank progression :) Axolotl Tanks

My new addiction for aquariums is keeping me busy & I'm trying to create a happy environment for 2 axies in 1 tank
- currently due to size differences they have to be in separate tanks but I'm hoping one day they can live together!
(Then I can get another one! lol)

I wanted to try a walstad but instead I've just gone for Playsand substrate & most plants are on rock / wood...

It's a work in progress so I'll add more pics as it changes

How did you get the java moss to stick to the wood? Been trying to create a wall forever, mine doesn't seem to want to anchor itself.

I've wrapped driftwood java moss then overwrapped it with black cotton, it seems to be working

I'm planning a moss wall next & have been reading much about creating one..
From what I've seen the mesh cannot be too fine & again it seems you just lay out the java on one sheet of mesh then sandwich it with top mesh then tack stitch fishing line (you don't want cotton disintegrating in the wall - so the permanent option is fishing line).

I love the look of mosses & am about to order a load of different mosses to see how they perform in colder water
