Tank Plants...

Hi guys,

For along time now I have had fake plants in my tank, as when I purchased some real ones, they were floating on the top within a day!

I am wanting to try real plants again however, and am wondering what plants are in your tanks that seem to work well with the axies?

You need to weigh them down, or your little horrors will pull them up.

Best way to do it is to sink the roots/ends in the substrate, and put big stones on/around.
You CAN tie them to stones with PLAIN COTTON too.
A lot of plants like elodea are FINE to float.

I use Marimo, Amazon swords, Hygrophyla A., Christmas Moss, Elodea, Water Lettuce, Java Moss and all manner of other plants.
Anything I have spare from my fishtanks I chuck in.

Hygrophyla is a fave - you just break the top to grow a new plant, and the foliage creates nice shadowy patches. The roots are pretty strong, it grows fast and the stem is tough.
Spyyk likes to sit in it sometimes.
