Tank mates?

Hello. I’m new. I was thinking about getting some Chinese fire bellied newts. I was thinking about maybe keeping another animal in the same tank. Maybe a vampire crab or something. Do you have any recommendations. I would prefer something that lives on land or land/water.

I just searched a bit and thought maybe I could keep some african dwarf frogs?

Chinese Fire Belly newts are quite peaceful, but I would advise against mixing them with other amphibians. Especially African Dwarf Frogs which as far as I understand need heating whilst the newts are stressed out above around 23c. Mixing amphibians also increases risk of pathogens spreading. If you really want something else with them I know people have success with shrimp species although mine ate any I added. :uhoh:

Ok thanks. I will look into it more. I am still not sure if I will get any fire bellied newts though.
