I just ordered some of these for my axie tank with white LEDs. I'm thinking for short periods of time, when I want to show off my axies they'll look great! Plus it's more stuff for them to nose around and climb on when they're turned off ;) If they look good, I might get some blue for night time
I'll post photos as soon as they're set up.
Does anyone else have something like this?

Those are kinda cool... how they are built into a rock shape. Hopefully your axies will like them! :D

I love the red ones! Think they may be a little too much though

Yeah, I'm going to have to position them carefully behind some plants or something so they're not too intense. My tank has a few hides though, and I'm sure it'll be better than their light at the moment which is actually a bedside lamp!

I use those in my adult axie tank they arn't very brite

Sorry to reopen an old thread, but anychance you can share some photo's of your tanks with these in? :D

I would like to share a site where you can get led-tubes for your aquarium, I have the tubes above my axolotl aquarium as well.

Kitelight

There was a thread recently where led tubes were bought from Ikea, same idea but I dont recall if they were inside or out. But I think that the rock idea is fab. Like a little axie disco. ;)

Ikea, I thought they did not have watertight led's meant for aquariums? The ones I mean are actually watertight and also dim-able and in various sizes, from 15 cm to 52 cm.

I personally don't like those rocks much, to me they seem tacky and I think light from above is much more natural. Also axolotls don't like light that much, and those rocks seem very bright, indeed a disco. Just my opinion of course!

I think the Ikea ones were a strip on the outside. Smiley Sam said on an earlier post though that he has the rock ones and they arent very bright, so maybe will be ok.

Thanks! Those rocks seem brighter on the website, then they are in real life then :S my bad!

Thats what I thought at first, think I will get some too, will let everyone know how bright they are.... watch this space.....:p

The rock lights aren't particularly bright. I have the rainbow ones in mine and my axolotl has never seemed bothered by them at all. I've placed them at the back behind some plants. The rocks themselves aren't that noticeble (they're small 3cmx2cm or so I think) Here's a pic...
