Hello everyone. i had a couple questions.
will a 10gal work for a small axolotl?if so,for how long?
what kind of substrate? no gravel, correct?
and last, ive heard bad stories on feeder goldfish..are they a no-no?

Hi,
I'm pretty sure a 10gal can hold an adult axolotl, so your axolotl should be fine. Sand should be used as they can eat up gravel and that can cause problems. Also, when wanting to feed feeder fish, you might want to quarantine them as they might be sick. Some people avoid feeder fish altogether.
Hope this helps... and I hope I'm not wrong.

goldfish contain a high level of bad fat and little nutrients for an axolotl. There is suposidly too much of some hormone axolotls don't like.

also, the bigger the better tank wise :D

Hi sure it would fit but it would be like you living all the time in a small bathroom you would fit but it would not be ideal.
The more space to move the better.

the axie im getting would be around 3inches, once he/she got to about 5 or 6 id be upgrade his/her home to a 15 or 20gal.
