I'm going to be getting an axolotl. But I need to set up and cycle my tank first. I have two choices at home. A 10 and 29 gallon. What would be better? The axolotl would be smaller about 3-4 inches. A 10 gallon and move up to the 29 once it's bigger, or the 29 gallon right away?

Either way would work, but why waste time and effort on 2 tanks? Keep the smaller one for quarantine or breeding feeder fish.

If it were me I'd go for the 29 and get 2 axies :D

Yup, bigger is better... My first one arrives Thursday, and she's gonna have 65 gallons to play in :)
