Tank decoration

I was thinking in putting a plastic decoration in the tank, but I don't know if it would afect the water into a bad condition to my axies... I wonder if you could tell me whether it's reliable to put this decoration in the tank or not...

What is the decoration? Most decorations made for a) human food storage, b) human water consumption, or c) aquarium use are okay to put in your tank.

When I put "plastic" I wanted to say "Plaster" that was my question, if plaster or any plasterwork would turn the water into bad conditions... Sorry about that... and thaks for your time..

wouldnt do it sounds like a bad idea to me wouldnt it leach into the water ??

I don't think any plaster would hold up to aquatic conditions. If you think something like cement, I'd also be worried about them leaching chemicals into the water.

Maybe you mean "ceramic" instead of plaster? You definitely don't want anything made of plaster in your tank.

Well...

Maybe I'm a bit comfused... I know plaster (our "yeso") is used to make some decorations un walls and roofs... but is not also used to make some figures, such as a diver shape? I know their are also made by ceramic... As an example, I have a Spongebob made with palster.. (of course, then it's painted...) That was what I really wanted to say... if I could put I apreciate your help!!

I think I know what you mean, but I would avoid anything that isn't sufficiently glazed. I've seen plaster statues and such, and it's just straight plaster with paint on it, definitely not safe or at least I wouldn't risk it. Plastics are perfectly fine, as well as ceramic, but I would avoid plaster. You're better off finding some nice big stores, washing them, letting them dry and setting them up in there, they'd probably like that better than a big, googly eye creature or something staring at them.
