Question: Tank arrangements

Hi all, I was wondering today as I looked at Vincent (my Axi) walking up and down the tank, if I should give him the option of somewhere to sit out of the water? He's due for a change around in the tank again as he gets really bored. Is this advisable or will it harm him? Many thanks in advance.

Axolotls are completely aquatic. They don't need any land area.
