I used the white version of this sand and it did not end up like mud. However after about 2 years in the tank I have "cleaned" all the sand out of the tank. It is very light and easy to suck up when vacuuming.

I saw this sand online and I wasn't sure if it was fine sand or gravel. Is it safe for Axies?

Got some put it in my tank and love it. You have to rinse it alot I put it in a sock. Lots of people use it foe axies. I found some at Petsmart
