Some shots of shanjing morphs. These animals belong to Jesper Danielsson -I've just been babysitting them over Christmas

Nice animals, they seem to be doing well.

Do you know at which length metamorphosis took place, as this often is a key factor in the growth rate of the animals. I'm just curious...

Hi,
They were tiny when I got them, don't know the metamorphosis length. I can tell you that the quite dry head/snout of especially the smallest one has worried me.

The smallest one also had a pretty bad infection in the leg just after I got him, I had to give him special attention for a while and separate him from his two siblings that were bullying him a bit.

Now they are all eating pretty well, I try to feed them every day with thawed bloodworms and sometimes worms, they are still a bit sceptical to worms. Just a size thing though.

Nice pics btw Mark! Thanks. I have no Internet connection here in England yet.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
