Hello I had a quick question....I have a group of 5 t marms that were on land for quite some time and I just placed them in an aquatic set up. Ever since I placed them in water I havnt seen them eat.. im sure they are eating but their feeding has slowed down...should i put them back in there terrestrial set up or leave them in the water?

Are they losing weight? Is their food disappearing? I find it easier to feed animals aquatically than terrestrially.

What food are you offering? If they have adequate access to land, but are choosing to be in the water, definitely leave them there. Moving them to land when they want to be aquatic (or vice versa) could be dangerous for them.

I have my marmoratus in water for almost a month now. In the beginnig they didn't eat a lot, but their appetite increased after little more than a week.

Foods I've offered them are whiteworms, tubifex, bloodworms and earthworms, of which earthworms were eaten best.

well when they were on land they were like little fattys..they ate everything i gave them..from blackworms to night crawlers..and their appetite has slowed down for sure..ive tried feeding night crawlers and they dont eat like they used to...i places them in a mainly aquatic set up with a small land area and they seem to prefer the water..their appetite was just worrying me..

Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!
