Hello guys.
I have tried too find some photos at marms natural habitat on google among others and have only come across one good that show how they can live, and i really want some more for inspiration too my next vivarium building.
So if you have any pictures please post them, that would be great.

Best regards.

Really interesting, those habitats differ quite a lot from where i used to find marms growing up in Dordogne (South Western France). I used to find them in a couple of vernal ponds that created between the roots of chestnuts trees in an established decideous forest, with "green slime" for only underwater vegetation (but a very deep layer of decaying leaves).

Sorry I haven't got picture, I'll try to take some next time I visit my folks, but it might not be before this summer.

Thanks alot man! i have checkt around for more photos at their natural habitat and have found some nice photos, so i have a clue how i shall decorate the tank at last.

Nice! i had missed this answer, nice looking environment and pictures.

Thanks.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
