this is my tank for my newt, its has like 8-10 inches of water, a place to go under for darkness, and it goes up and chills on the log when it is tired of swimming.

Until that is not bad! ;) However I suggest that you put fertile substrate, fine sand and some plants. If you think you can come stick with cleaning problems you can always use a container or a large stone to provide them with food. :happy:
