T. granulosa eggs on wood

Hi Uwe,
ist the wood under water or above the waterlevel? I've seen my granulosa laying eggs on land for the first time this year:

(The picture is taken from above)

Those eggs are on a very wet stone but it is never floated.

Mine are below the waterline.

How are the eggs doing? They are probable critically in respect to drying out.

The main danger wasn't drying out but getting eaten by their parents. That's what happened :(
I rescued some and put them into water where they develloped normally.

I always remove the eggs from the adults. Especially the Tarichas are heavely feating on their eggs as the are not hidden at all.

That's what I do, but I've rescued enough for this season, so I wanted to look what happened to those "land-eggs". Yesterday I've discovered some more (excactly the same place), if they are still there tommorow I try to build a little "cage" around them to see their devellopment.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
