Swollen tummy and 'waddling'

My Axie who I figure is a female, has a really swollen tummy and she like waddles around the tank and looks like shes finding it hard to swim. Could she be filled with eggs and if so how long does she hold them for?? Thanks.

If the axolotl is a female, then it is probably filled with eggs. Mine get double their normal size when they fill with eggs, and it normally happens this time of year.

Ooh I would be so excited if Bella was going to be a Mummy! She is a Wildtype and the Dad I think would be one of my Golden Albino's. Is it common to not 'see anything' and then find your Axie is filled with eggs??

Hi Carley, axies don't mate in the coital sense so there is nothing to see anyway. I agree with Jacob and after all it is the season to be jolly.

I'm really hoping for some goldens, I'll be sure to let you know I'm really hoping that Bella is with eggs, because my Axies are so pretty I would love to see their offspring lol.
