My friend has a swollen male Triturus dobrogicus. We were thinking its some kind of infection or bloat like symptom. We did say its not bloated with air maybe bloated with water. It is more than double the normal girth of a normal male. I have to say that my friend has experienced this a couple times already. Maybe someone with experience can help us out? Maybe some advice on preventing a situation like this would help also. I'm hoping this condition isn't due to some sort of organ failure.
