My axolotles cloaca is all swelled up and he is trying to bite at it. I know I have read about this before but I can't seem to remember what it was. Any help out there?
Thanks.

I'm thinking it could be parasites. Do you notice any stringy things down there? Sometimes they look darker, but I don't know if they always do.

I would have thought blockage, but I don't think he would be trying to get at it like that if it were a blockage. (But I'm no expert...)

The swelling went back down. But I do see what looks like small white worms coming out of the skin on several different parts of the body.

I cant see any worms but if you search anchor worms on here you can see if that
may be the problem.
