Question: Swapping tanks with goldfish

I have a large fish tank which is bigger than my current axolotl tank. I'm thinking about swapping the goldfish with the axoltl to give him more space. Both tanks have a filter and sand, would I have to change everything before swapping them? Are there any dangers e.g. Illnesses that could be spread if I use the filter and sand the fish have had?

Goldfish can carry a lot of parasites and diseases that can wreak havoc on lotls. You should always sterilize things when doing a tank switch, too. At the very least, clean/remove the sand the goldfish had. I don't think the goldfish will have as much of a sensitivity to the switch, but I'm more the better safe than sorry sort.
