It's really not that complicated Ryan. The picture is of some cereal that contains marshmallow salamanders. Please stop posting question marks.
 
Cute. I'd pick all the white salamanders out first, do something with them while they're dry, and eat all the rest. Silly Mormons.
 
Is there some connection between mormons and salamanders? I understood most of the other apocryphal items from mormon lore.

for those of you who dont get the salamander refernece to Mormonism here is a wiki link to the "salamander letters" which were a forgery by Mark Hofmann. there is also a book writen about him called "salamander murders" or something like that.

for those who dont want to read here is a short summery in reguards to a salamander from wiki and other links:
this was some forged documentation in the LDS in that stated when Smith foudn the golden plates a magical white salamander appeared and trasformed into Moroni the angel.

I interpreted it another way....The other shapes in the cereal all have connections with magic as far as i can see. This is why there are salamanders. They represent the element of fire and their symbolism is used in these magical practices.......
But Annmarie seems to have gotten the true reason for it!
 
Remember that when Smith "found" the plates he was still living in Ohio right? So it was probably an albino maculatum or jeffersonianum

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
