I came home last night to eggs. Their first batch, they are around a year old. The male is a luecistic, the female is wild type. I got them from Michael Shrom. I am moving in February and momma and poppa axolotl will be going to their new home, and I don't have the time to raise the eggs. I may raise 10 or so, because I have a handful of friends that told me to call if I ever get babies, but at this time I can't do any live foods, so it will only be whomever survives on crushed pellets and such. I am thinking I'm going to fridge mom and dad... I have some little tank critters, I'm thinking the few babies I might raise will have a better chance if they eat them. I read briefly through a couple of the articles on eggs and rearing, but how long does it take over all to get them to hatch and then get to an age where they can be picked up for their new homes? If the time frame is too long, then I have to cull all of the eggs. My tank is usually tops at 68F.

If you are giving them to other homes, you can give them in the stage where they are still eggs. And as long as you are giving them locally, you can send them out the door at any age, really. They can be transported just fine. If shipping, then it's better to ship either as eggs or as advanced larvae (maybe 2 months old or more). It's definitely easier to cull them at the egg stage than it would be later on. Good luck with them!
