at the herpotoligiy (sry for the spelling) center in spokane, they have a thingy for youth (i m a member) , we did an exspirement on cynops oriantalis sense of smell, what we did was set up a 55 long with six mature cynops in it it was half land half water, we putt all the newts on one side of the tank ans put frozen blodd worms on the other, they found the blood worms in 3 and a half minutes! i just thought that was cool!
