I have had my pair of California newts for a couple weeks now, and I have noticed that wether its night, day, or after their daily misting, they never come out of their hiding spots! They also will NOT let me catch a glimse of them eating, though they are because they are quite plump. Is this normal Taricha behavior? They are also in a 20 gallon terrarium with plenty of hiding spots, a big water bowl. I am absolutely sure the newts are not T.granulosa by the way. I just wish I could see the little guys more often. Thanks in advance!
